Emmanuelle Devos reads James & Nora
Celebrated French actress Emmanuelle Devos reads for the CCI from Edna O’Brien’s novel James & Nora.

"Love loves to love love." What could be better for CCI’s Nuits de la lecture event around the theme of love than to evoke James Joyce and the love of his life, Nora Barnacle?! In the lead up to our season celebrating the world-famed writer, we are delighted to present French actress Emmanuelle Devos for a premiere reading from Edna O’Brien’s novel James & Nora. This remarkable text, recently published in French translation by Sabine Wespieser, traces the life of Joyce and his muse, from their fateful meeting in 1904 to the author’s death in 1941.
