Discussing Ulysses by James Joyce
The Classics Challengers is a bookclub which was set up in 2017 by Naz Ghazali. The members are mostly based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia though not necessarily Malaysians. The group discuss mainly classics, award winning books or books that have impacted the society at large.

The group have started reading Ulysses in November 2021. We read one or two chapters a week. Each week a member is assigned to lead an Episode. We refer to Don Gifford's book, Prof James Haffernan's lectures,The James Joyce Project, Kevin Birmingham's The Most Dangerous Book and many other sources of reference which are available online.
We have, as 17 January 2022, completed 9 episodes. We hope to finish by 27 February.
We hold our discussions every Sunday at 2:00pm. Venue: Bungalow 37, Jalan Raja Abdullah Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Our discussions are always structured, well researched and enjoyable.
We are also planning to meet and talk about Ulysses on 2 February 2022 at 5.30pm at Kuala Lumpur Hilton in order to commemorate Ulysses100.
