Ulysses Journey 2022 – the concert
The CCI and the Contemporary Music Centre in Dublin present this second evening of works celebrating the centenary of the publication of Joyce’s masterpiece.

Following the launch of newly commissioned musical films on 2.2.22, the CCI and the Contemporary Music Centre in Dublin present this second evening of works celebrating the centenary of the publication of Joyce’s masterpiece.
A specially curated concert for guitar and voice brings together the Ulysses connections between Ireland, France and Hungary. Hungarian guitarist Katalin Koltai and Irish soprano Elizabeth Hilliard perform new and existing works, all inspired by the epic novel, by composers from both Ireland (Daragh Black Hynes, Greg Caffrey, Seán Clancy, Benjamin Dwyer, Gráinne Mulvey and Ian Wilson) and Hungary (Máté Balogh, Alessio Elia, Samu Gryllus, Petra Szaszi, Márton Szocs and Peter Tornyaiby).
This concert will also be presented in the Budapest Music Centre with support from the Embassy of Ireland in Hungary, The Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin in partnership with Sundays@Noon, and in Belfast in partnership with Moving on Music.
