Bloomsday celebration on Thursday, June 16th, at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center in Danbury, CT - co-sponsored by the Andy McGann CCE and Danbury Ladies Ancient Order or Hibernians!

The Andy McGann branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and the Danbury Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians are delighted to present a Bloomsday celebration on Thursday, June 16th, Bloomsday itself, where we celebrate James Joyce's "Ulysses", on the 100th anniversary of its publication. The program will include dramatic readings from the book, period music & songs along with traditional reels & jigs, and special desserts with coffee or tea. Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite and at the door on the evening of the event.

"Bloomsday" dinner specials will be available for sale in the GDICC pub, along with your favorite adult beverages. Edwardian costumes are highly encouraged! Please feel free to email us at [email protected] for more information.
